an eloquent tear

by Maria Francesca

I wish I could dance
I wish I could fly
I wish I could paint a Van Gogh sky

I wish I could tell you
and make you see -
I would
but the words won't come to me

they just sit in my chest
make a nest in my heart
and expand
till I'm sure it'll blow me apart

still, I wish I could reach them
and teach them to sing
I wish I could act
but I can't do a thing

I wish I could cry you
an eloquent tear
'cause I'm lonesome tonight
and I wish you were here

Well done... I enjoyed the flow and the imagery evoked in this piece.
