As The Worm Turns

by Joe Cramer

So often the worm turns,

One door opens as another

Closes.

So many times I am spurned

Waiting for the other

Shoe to drop.

I hop

Skip

And jump

Through my life.

I watch, wait for what is right,

Waiting for the day

When the worm will turn my way.

Is the worm at the bottom of a bottle of tequila by any chance? Either way great little poem here. ~JPP

I think you've made a poem full of sayings, playing them out, over and under and through themselves, so lightly and rightly and subtly, that you've turned them all your way.
