What ages us so quick.

by Bob Arcania

I grew so old I was angry. I wrung my hands so hard
they became my elbows. my shoulders. my neck.
I hurt so bad like walnuts.

Tell me the secret of why did I age so quick--
was it the boy I fucked so fast he became the past
beneath my thrusting body?

Tell him I am sorry he was not made for this world!
I can tell such things because I have many years
hanging from my open lips.
like Chinese lanterns..

Author's Note: Tell him I'm not really sorry. Tell him I passed away two nights ago in my old age. Tell him tiny natures to make him sleep better. This isn't really about him anyway.
