we will step back to dawn's yet discovered
wander through memories shared,
of a time in our lives when
we both stood taller,
now wiser ...

we'll take it slow
bring a flashlight or two,
meander those pathways and byways now fading
but not forgotten,
if we hurry, we'll get there by sunset
break free of these doldrums and live
once again,
remembering ...

this time we'll reach those horizons
you and I,
we'll enjoy the fruits of the harvest
tender buds full of promise,
there waiting ...
