Art Thief

by Aaron Michael

you’re more like modern art, only
it doesn’t take acquired taste to find
the beauty in you.
Though you are somewhat like a
Bright blue splash of paint on some drab backdrop
Contrasting perfect with normal by making
Perfection tangible, wrestling and reforming it
Into something that you would wear around our
Bedroom at three in the morning when
We can’t sleep and decide to play video games
Until the we can’t stand to lay in front
Of the television any longer.

Your fingerprints are Van Gogh,
And your mind is a Rembrandt,
Priceless stacked with priceless
And I find it hard to keep track of
Everything I turn up with day after morning.
My own personal work of art
That speaks for itself in every language
To everyone, whether they’ve passion for
Art or no love for it at all.
Because everyone appreciates beautiful
When it looks like you.

The poem is beautiful, and the last two lines are just PERFECT! Absolutely perfect. I am definitely favoriting this one.

You'd better get some darn good insurance covering that art piece of yours. Who wouldn't want such an original. BRAVO Sir!!!

Awww, Aaron. I know who this is about and I'll bet she enjoyed it immensely. These words are reaching half-way around the world and letting her know that no matter where you are, she is the most important person in your life. You are such a wonderful romantic!
