Shower

by Rhonda Maneki

A
rain of warmth
washes over
creamy flesh,
drenching me
from head
to toe in
gentle heat.

Pinking my skin
to a blush.

Water beads,
trickling over
the expanse of
my senses.

An exhaled
relaxed sigh

Crystal droplets
grace my cheeks
cresting over the
bow of my lips,
closing my eyes
pearls of dew
linger upon
my lashes.

Breathing in
moist air.

Tilting my
head back,
parting soft
lips, filling
my mouth with
warm spray,
it cascades
over my chin
like a fountain,
trailing over
gentle curves
to my toes

Iridescent bubbles
of vanilla scented
lather soften
to a sheen
glowing skin.

I'm pink..
I'm blushed

Showers can be so sensual! I love the line "Pinking my skin to a blush.
