almost evaporate by Matthew Sharpshy.
i hide behind the lies,
the clouds
blocking the light from the sky.
cry and evaporate
die and ejaculate
change so much
i've never given anyone/me
a chance to know me.
when all of me is passion
ideas and emotions
are distracting side effects
on the way to guilt free
compassion.
this experience
is one step
in the most amazing dance
i have ever....
almost.
reincarnation is hereditary,
individuality is not.

Posted by Kathleen Wilson on 03/16/07 at 07:22 PM I love the point about individuality. We do make ourselves (as much as we can). And almost self-contradictory this poem, as in it and in so many others you tend to spell out your passions and your mind's unique dance! |
Posted by Alison McKenzie on 04/08/07 at 05:08 PM You've captured what I think about self acceptance so wonderfully!!! Genius observation in the contrast between the eternal self and the self realized in one lifetime. |
