Posted by Sarah Graves on 03/14/07 at 02:04 AM I enjoyed reading this..I like how you connect this sense of conversation with the obvious feeling around you. Great read :) |
Posted by Matthew Sharp on 03/14/07 at 03:30 AM so many attributes, condensed.
the conceptual metaphor at the end was cool, i laughed in enjoyment:) |
Posted by Kathleen Wilson on 03/14/07 at 04:22 AM Beautiful. I can feel the dance. An the "tidal wave"--wow-- that's my favorite,,, although I am just all swept up in it...well mayne "a taken glacier" is my favorite. A lot of favorites in there for not too long of a poem! Just full of movement, atmosphere, the swell of love, and all climax. Yes. |
Posted by Melanie J Yarbrough on 03/14/07 at 04:36 PM i love this. and "the tidal wave that sat on the couch between us earlier" you really have a way of capturing emotion, I especially like how you notice the air pushing off of her. so nice, and the metaphor of youth being a honeymoon. it is so good to be young, isn't it? |
Posted by Frankie Sanchez on 03/14/07 at 10:45 PM "our youth is a honeymoon." -- i hope you lie awake at night and think openly to yourself, "yeah, i'm a genius." i could not possibly fabricate any reaction i ever have to your work/words. this is pure sentiment, all heart and no lacking. i am constantly impressed with how you articulate in ways that most people can not even emote. you stun with your observations and you lure with you intimate revelations. i applaud you and admire your style. & if you think i’m envious
it’s because
I am.
