Some doors should stay locked by A. Paige White I heard the sound of a key turning
a way was locked before me
I had not the means of entrance
a kind hand, a patient hand
a pierced hand stretched out
and I heard the snap
with the ears of my spirit
The door is swinging open
before my longing eyes
For my emotional pains
I replace mood medication
with soul food meditation
and bend in to listen,
He whispers, "Wise"
It is acceptable, to turn away in sadness
deep sadness of soul
from those who cannot
will not
go forward
but choose to stay the same
and choose to say the same
always wandering, seeking a change
but unwilling themselves to change
Afraid of the unlocking of a door.
Some change is birthed in a doorway of pain.03/13/2007
Author's Note: .... and some doors shouldn't when we are really ready to walk through them. I marvel at my 40 day flood.... wow. 40 days really is significant. Amazing.
