Summer 1962

by Keith D Allison

Her beauty was like

the wind driven rain

pulling, tugging

driving me insane

she spun a web

that sparkled in the sun

it caught my heart

filling the summer

in the glow of Angels wings

Hi Keith. "in the glow of Angels wings", a wonderful vision. Sweet, flown memories. Excellent. Thanks.

Interesting image, man. I like how you bring it together without really going over on the details.

This whole poem resonates tenderness - even the storm, because the insanity on the narrator's part had to come from a combination of beauty and mystique. Only terrible beauty can have such a radical result.
