Violently

by Angela Cotterman

It is not so unusual
that I should have read
Little Women at eleven,
or even, that the copy
belonged to my mother,
a gift from my father
when they were older,
in their time, than I was.
The problem, however,
was that Alcott killed
so sweetly, and the next
morning, my sister died.

this is pretty interesting. i'm not sure what it means, just that ending is pretty abrupt (sp?) in a good way.

I like that sudden ending. Actually, I really like it. It settles and finishes like a good scene from a good movie. Nicely done.
