Lucky Day

by Soulo Jacob Bourgeau

Where I was is unimportant
Where I am is awfully bland
Where I am going gets even odds

Lady Luck my loyal mistress
God my surreptitious shylock
A kiss of the die my soothsayer
Knowing I canÂ’t lose forever
Aware IÂ’m doomed to try

Author's Note: Inspired by the lyrics from "Have A Lucky Day" by Mark Sandman (1952-1999) of Morphine.

Yep, those last 2 lines are particularly poignant.

This diamond is hiding with the other gems in Brick-a-Brack?
Oh, how good it feels...to figure one can't "lose forever"... tell me it's true and I'll b'lieve.
(I can't "loose" forever ...somehow, it's always coming...)
Now I need to go find Morphine... L —J
