rolling up the gradient

by Matthew Sharp

the ringing in my mind
powerlines
electrons flight near the speed of light
cutting a path that irritates me in my sight
at war with my self-disciplined plight
ignite with a bite
of indigestion
fullfilling the infinite question
staring at my many conditionings
placing them in spots of unmentioned things
in a cave my slave
i woke before i was all that i gave
incave and collapse
sprout from the soil
return to the garden and harden for your mistaken endeavor
drown in MY river of time
adapted birth canal in my mind
i find and control to swallow you whole
i know what its seed looks like and the fruit that bears it
remove the vitality from the garden that inheret's it
desparish it
in the gazing stare
the blazing blare
burn to ashes!
and ill burn you some more any ingredient i can explore to turn up the gradient somemore.

How man can create himself-- instructions here. While not totally possible this is as close as it gets. To see and hear the "many conditionings" and send them "in a cave my slave" (one way of seeing it) also--the usual way of normal propriety put the "unmentioned things" in a cave, unaknowleged. Here each thing is examined, and a "birth canal" mentally constructed to recreate and enliven the chosen, not just regurgitating the past indigestibly. Well spoken, and definitely this is hard work, "rolling up the gradient"!

"powerlines" --yes, that's a great way to say it!
