John Denver Sings

by Joe Cramer

John Denver sings to me daily,

My own personal songs.

We often walk alone

On these far distant highways

As he touches the sweet somber solace

Of my forgotten mind.

We dance together, he and I

As we climb aspen studded climes.

I surrender sweetly to the embrace

Of his music, as it touches me daily.

I want to share with you, and only you

All of these wonderful remembrances

Of a time that we both knew, though apart

Now joined together is such a memory

That can never be forgotten.

Now is our time, join with me

In lifting the verse in praise.

You know, I hate John Denver's music, but this almost makes me want to dig up a CD. I like it.

"Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy..." and so does this tribute to someone who made us all feel so good. Hey Joe!
