Artichokes are such a delight

by Janine Euladia

Artichokes are such a delight
They're tender and yummy
when cooked just right
Leaf after Leaf that you
scrape with your teeth
Really is a taste exsquisite!

Before you cook,
Take a close look
And cut off the tips
to avoid poking your lips.

Notice the stem, just leave it long,
cutting this, is entirely wrong
It tastes much like the heart
Most folks favorite part

When I eat an artichoke
My senses dance for joy
And I need to share this news
with every girl and boy

Artichoke are such a delight
If you haven't eaten one, please try
It's sweet poignant flavor
really is, somethng to savour!

Extremely impressive that you wrote this as a child, Janine! Though, personally, I find 'chokes far too labor intensive.
