Have, have not

by Keith D Allison

The sun rise

upon the High Plains

a breath of spring

patches of Earth

now seen

A herd of buffalo

grazes within the morning light

upon the land

which has been a wonderland of white

Perceptions within the mind

your world or mine

the crowded freeway

the sound of morning dancing upon the ear

stop and go traffic, anxiety hangs upon the air

the cell phone rings, interrupting thoughts for the day

Have have-nots

Views, reflections of the world

the other side of the mountain

not viewed, not seen

in this time, in you're day

billions have never made

a phone call

If this seems odd, your a have

probably never gave it a thought

nice reminder of the advantages we take for granted.
