Professor Google

by A. Paige White

I'm always here
at the head of your class
You're my favorite instructor
My hero
I did notice you have another worthy pathetic pupil
You have a way of staying on people's minds.
But you never give tests
I like that about you.
No test anxiety
With you I feel relaxed, in control, knowledgable
(even if I'm not sure that's how you spell knowledgable)
That's ok too.
You will usually correct me with a gentle question
But occasionally you snap my head off
Nothing found.
There is absolutely no knowledge to be found on that subject.
Well. No need to get huffy.

You're a bit windy, a bit wordy
You tell me far more than I wanted to know
and you cause me to run rabbit trails
when all I was after
was a lucky foot.

Author's Note: I had to chuckle at Don Campbell's googler reference today. I was already thinking about my relationship with the professor and how to describe it.

"You're a bit windy, a bit wordy You tell me far more than I wanted to know" Oh yes this describes the mysterious Mr. Google.
