Dreams

by Alisa Js

I have watched from the outside
all these years
as this world continued to burn,
blink!!!
and years pass
where did those seasons go,
in between?

is this what my life is
now?
is this what I've been working toward
the harvest of my dreams
this is the fruit of my ambition?

I stand here and watch them slip through my open hand ...
so many stories
of love and pain,
heartache and agony
turn and be real ...

where did the smiles run to?
the ones I have longed for
I had them, you know
once
or twice
it's been so long,
I'm not sure I remember...

but it had to be something
I believe ,
I don't think I was sleeping
or was I?

Sometimes our view of the world is tricky. That's why we really need each other.
Did I really see what I just thought I saw?

I see you smile in everything you do. I see the pain behind them sometimes, most of all I see is kindness and strength, determination and a remarkable woman who can write her pain and not have to live and relive it...but, process it ...and heal. That is what I SEE and know of you. I love you, so much and see so much in you that sometimes, you forget to touch. But, its there. *HUGS and LOVE* from under the breadfruit tree.. * grin* Love, Rhonda..

Very well written again. I have often thought "Is this it?"
