Baby Come to Bed

by Alison McKenzie

Baby come to bed.
The sheets themselves
Cry to stroke your sinew’d flesh,
And my hands crave
Your bones.

Baby come to bed.
My dreams of you are fading fast.
My inner sanctum aches
To wrap velvet walls around
Your desire.

I remember -
Sweet taste of intrepid nectar
Dripping with gravity’'s decadence,
Deliciously digested.
I want to swallow,
Please,
An encore of your explosive bliss.

So, Baby, come to bed.
Sink into the soft clouds of my flesh
And ride the waves of my passion
To the shores only we reach together.
My God, but you rock me –
Gently.

So, Baby, come to bed.
Read to me our last bedtime story,
And let’s add a new chapter.
I want to fall asleep in your love.

Author's Note: Ok, it's been awhile...LOL. It's really not fun to be at what feels like the pinnacle of my hormonal journey and be alone. Ack. Inspired by Gary Wood.

"My inner sanctum aches" - very evocative and moving - sweet, sexy, and hedonistic... Very nice imagery stanzas 2 to 4.
