...dreaming of tomorrows...

by Charlie Morgan

a coastline defined by it's lofty range of mountains
perpetual snow drowns the once oceanic brine-wet peaks,
stretches umbilically far out upon the drying plains.

we're squatters for some little time as to be measured
and we count the ripples and the windings in many streams
cloaked like an Indian chief facing against a black sky.

against a sea of whiteness, curls of waves lap the foam.
each wave so lonely and so solemn, a crown of sky in leaps.
but this is merely an old man dreaming...of tomorrows.

A landscape painted in words. Brilliantly done again Chaz. I wish I had the patience to allow my mind to work that way.
