You Or I

by Jeffrey Parren

the simple difference between
you or I
and us
is the minute yet significant gap
that distinguishes
my exploration of you
and our sexploration

I had a good idea
who you were
what you liked
how you made me feel
but then it all came together
when we did

we can never go back now
and that's ok
this revelation was wanted
and now being so close
we decide our future
or look back at a past version
of you or I

I agree- a heavy, powerful, bittersweet read- just the way I like 'em! Great write.
