On this day
with the sun shining

standing still
among the rush of the crowd

a decision was made
a secret never to be said aloud

Unable to say
what made today different from yesterday

Was the sky the right shade of blue?
Did the wind whisper the word adieu?
After all this time, nobody knew

It matters not anyway
Knowing the why will not take away the pain
Knowing the how will not change what came

On this day, with the sun shining
A woman, in her late twenties, entered a building

Undetected, she walked to its very edge

No explanations, she jumped to her death
