What the Day Brings

by Joe Cramer

I wonder what the promise of the day brings,

Another holiday, spent alone, without someone

To share all that I am, all that she is.

These days all blend together for me,

As they speed into my eternity.

I guess a lot of this is self imposed,

Because I simply will not settle, for anything.

Wise words in "I simply will not settle, for anything." all the days, holidays, supposedly memorable days would mean nothing if not with the right person. Happy Valentines Day, Mr. Cramer, *tosses hearts and rainbows* to elevate that sigh to a possible smile.

It's a silly day, don't feel bad, Joe. Last year I had a contrived blind date that was a disaster. I'm much happier just going out with my single friends later. Patience, I think, shall pay off for both of us, Sir.
