Forbidden Yesterday by Razel DaviesA vigour of sensuous stream
A gleam of rapture
Her vanity played
In a forbidden yesterday
Unchanging prismatic glass
Within her eyes
The abyss wonders,
Through her mind.
Strike cut gaze,
Pierce scent whisper.
Glide mid open,
The cellar door.
Thoughts struck out nothing
From the naked nature
What was clasped in her hands
That the light recommended
Ears open
To the sounds of the drag of night
Camped out dark,
A figure step tall.
Fear drowned,
By desires touch.
Gasp of her heart,
Empty space or no?
What must seem deviant
Was welcomed in smothered numbers
Tricks to scour
Devour the perfumery
The cloaked one
In noir ribbons wrapped
Hooded murmur deep
And entangled her soul to sleep
As her eye opened,
To empty door,
Her heart sank,
For dream was no more.
Despair gripped,
Loneliness tear,
The dark figures love,
Now gone from here. 02/14/2007
