Anthem of Individuality

by Jason Hannigan

In unison you can dance,
You can even laugh and cry,
But dare ye not deviate
And meet the devil’s eye.

You should be an individual
As unique as one could be,
But to that extent,
You must be one just like we.

Only the immature
Dwell on style, form, and fuss.
Don’t conform,
Be an individual
Just like all of us.

You can protest,
Speak out and Rebel.
But dare ye not deviate
And wear the devil’s veil.
