Within the echo of war and love by Keith D Allison
Lost Love
I stand now in the dark
shadows of the valley bones
Where is the valley
the seat of passion
My breath of life yearns…
for the day of greenness
Illusion fading
as the mountains
stand before me
foot upon foot
how be it
how be it
this night
of blood and death
My pearl of the orient
they have ripped
you from me
they have gashed my being
they took my breath
they have driven
the blackness of night
into my Soul
the core of my being
mourns and wail in pain
As tears
flow as a river
the black haze of hate grows
with in me
With the gray mourning sky
I will give your shell to the sea
No more
will I know the warmth of your greeting
Or the sensation
of honey upon my lips
Gone is the sweetness of passion
that only you
could bring to my soul
My love
My love
I mourn
the loss of your touch
Gone
are the sweet songs
your voice brought to my ears
Oh GOD
Oh GOD
why
Why have you ripped
my joy
my happiness
Why
have you taken all
my life
from me
Why
God

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 02/12/07 at 07:52 PM Hi Keith. First, terrific title. This is so emotional. You know, the world has two edges, one of laughter, one of anguish, cutting the heart asunder.I hear the passionate anguish in this. |
