Why Won't You Dance?

by Joe Cramer

Why won't you dance with me?

How can this truly be?

I would love to take a spin,

And let our lives begin.

Why won't you sway,

Is it something that I say?

I know, it's how I look,

Like a character in a book.

I just want to dance.

Lets just take that chance.

I wait quietly for you,

This is what I must do.

Author's Note: To waiting for a love that never comes my way.... I just grow a little older, each and every day.

All I can say is, this is hauntingly lovely, lonely and touching. Rhonda

I really like this.. Sometimes waiting isn't enough.
