Romance by Jeffrey ParrenUpon a pedestal I do place you,
Romance.
I have dreamed of you for so long
that now you have morphed into
Aphrodite.
I love the idea of you
but dealing with the possibility
that you do not exist I feel
Hopeless.
Finding it easy to fall
I become engulfed with rapture;
that I might finally find you
how I loathe this common sense
that takes place of delicate dreams
to make me collapse again.
I could crumble in your arms
at any given moment
so that you could collect every piece of me
to find out exactly who I am
so that you could tell me
but I don't know who
You
are, and it makes me sad.
For once in my life do
I,
Jeffrey Parren,
want to find my star. 02/09/2007 Author's Note: For Starla Borne, who continues to give me inspiration, and poetry help :).

I loathe the actuality of you and am dealing with the reality that you do... and sometimes you fold your wings and bow your head in submission heralding your source and inspiration. Thanks for this. Very inspiring and thought provoking.
