God is Dead

by Razel Davies

Thought of old,
And bygone age.
Once needed,
Now no more.
Celestial father,
Ruling beyond reason.
Faith ropes bind,
Circulation cut.

Free thinkers,
Entry denied.
Your world closed,
Blinded and slow.
Push our thoughts,
Wash our minds.
Commanding my brain,
Against my will.

God is dead,
We have killed him.
Governor of our souls,
We govern ourselves.
Our life advance,
Far beyond him.
Child minds grown,
Now I am a man,
Childish thoughts gone.

My mind is my own,
You cannot alter.
Dare you to try?
Do have the right?
My mind is my own,
My words are my own.
I say what I believe,
I know what I say.
God is dead,
And we have killed him.

Author's Note: "God is dead" was said by Nietzsche. He put forward the idea that man has grown beyond a need for a God. We no longer need this belief for governance of a people or to explain the things we couldn't explain. We have out grown the need for this belief as a child out grows Santa. Special Note: If this offends you, this is for you.

hehee, it doesn't offend me in the least! It's just only half the story. He was dead, but now He's alive beyond death's reach. I pray He introduces Himself to ya! As females we are very much entitled to change our mind when events or information warrant it. Hope my comment doesn't offend you either ;-}

I used to believe this also. However, I have come to understand that he is not dead. He made man in his image and it has finally come to fruition with death and destruction all around. People hating people for no reason other than their own indulgence. And I hate to say it, but we have less free thought and will than most of us believe. But then you are welcome to your own belief.

We as humans, kill everything once maybe twice, we beat it, chew it up, spit it out and then start again. Figuratively anyway, I have a client in the process of chewing her life to bits and killing it with over analyzing it - then settling with it , then murdering it again from another point of view. And I suppose what I'm saying is - its natural to become skeptical in everything at least once, twice if your good at it and three times if you really want to dig a hole and hold that for a time. Yet, in the end its all a phase, all about moving on and learning something that shines though even the coldest places, when we least expect it, when we least are prepared. That is when , at those exact moments you know God was never about a body on earth, you know for a fact, he is what lives within You, in the form of hope, resilience, the breath you breath, the small joys in life, the larger ones, he is the voice that is sane in the middle of insanity, that intuitive voice within you, he is the moment you smile, that something tickles your insides and you laugh, he is the love you feel, the awe inspired feeling you get when you write. Its about feeling every day - this remarkable wonder called life, this is what God is...God, is everything, in everything, he is the gift of your pen...the soul the is inspired.
