Wishes and Dreams by Rhonda Maneki
An open window beckons unto the night,
her gentle touch of peaceful coolness
shivers my skin,
Diaphanous curtains billow
into the room a graceful waltz of white.
A flickering of golden glow
softens into a mellow haze.
Casting shadows upon
crimson walls.
Music drifts upon the intimate
whisper of promise,
its melody carried upon
silken ribbons of rich velvet thoughts.
An embrace of my soul in such tenderness,
in passion, passion of life, ah, passion of love,
of a love, such love,
I weep in awe.
My heart flutters as I catch my breath,
Oh,that sigh, that sigh you know so well.
The sigh, that one particular sigh,
you answer with one of your own.
- breathe-
Suspended moment, a hesitation hovering,
ah, for fear the beauty held
within this interlude all will dissolve
into a solitary fallen note to the floor,
-tenderly-
-beautifully-
-fluttering-
The harmonic note, a symphony of emotion,
such a marvelous ache,
a silent yearning,
a desire which remains
for your arms.
Tonight,
I ache,
so sweetly,
I yearn for you.

Author's Note: Rough draft...
I miss you, even when you are with me,
even when you are touching me, i crave for more of you.
oh, sweet the pain of longing.
