The Fairest

by Joe Cramer

The fairest woman, the beauty of you

Soft and sweet like the rose, befret of thorn.

A fresh flower, sprung from the earth anew

To behold your beauty, my awe, anon.

In soft light, it is all my mind can see

As if the seasons have all turned to spring,

And yet, all beauty is held within thee.

Of what more does your love have yet to bring?

To pen you more words, sweet warm subtlety

Viewing the depth of such inspiration.

Fairest of creatures and those yet to be.

My mind grows numb with exhiliration.

Oft my mind canst hold possibility.

Fairest beauty, you are all things to me.
