Sepia by Rhonda Maneki
Sepia colored moments,
A glimpse of a flame within you,
The scent of worn leather,
So familiar...
The shadow, he sits with a smoldering gaze,
beneath a the brim of a well worn hat.
He reminds me of how you look at me now,
with careless intent, as your chair mournfully groans
when you turn to look at me with newness.
A scratchy shellac record on the Player
dragging across the groves of spiraled timeĀ
"Someone to Watch Over Me"..
Meanders magically
over memories
of emotion..
