A Student

by Joe Cramer

A student in my class walked in

Obviously crying, my heart strings prying.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

She said that her step father

Had kicked her family out

And would not bother

With her, anymore.

I wanted to shout.

I wish that I had the room

To take her and her family in.

Another relationship blown,

Another love lost.

Ouch! I feel for her...and you for wanting to help. Bless you for caring.
