why are there always pictures
of you with other girls?
what is it about them
that makes you want to smile and pose?

it seems like
next to any other female
you are happy
you are content
you are picturesque

why is there no photographic evidence
that you and i can be just as close?
do we need to be a secret?
(are you shameful?)

i know that when you hold me in your bed
we are something special
but i cannot bring a camera
to places so sacred
