The Treasure

by Tony Whitaker

I found riches beyond belief
When your arms held my grief
Through all this pain and strife
You gave meaning to my new life
And my memories of you I treasure

Now wishing you were here
Our friendship I hold so dear
How much I miss our walks
Under summer moons the talks
And my memories of you I treasure

But you had to walk away
Wanting more than you could pay
But thanks to you I did rebound
From feeling lost to being found
And my memories of you I treasure
