The Show Begins at Two

by Tony Whitaker

Is everybody in?
Is everybody in?
Is everybody in?
The ceremony is about to begin

From An American Prayer ©
Written by Jim Morrison

The show begins at two makes one
Fetal days fill a warm dark sun

Nine months of elemental emergent bliss
Then ejected from comforting calm abyss

Newborn days now a coalescent haze
Manipulating cries to get one’s ways

Childhood bliss unknown to be missed
Digging in the dirt to fumbled first kiss

Adolescent frustrations finding form, fit and function
A cruel world of childish dysfunction

Adulthood identity leads to life’s journey
Finding your way in society’s tourney

Old age begins the famous final scene
To the credits of life of the now unseen

We hope you enjoyed your reflected show
Time for the critics to say where you go

I agree, Tony.. life is for living... to live is to celebrate every breath, every drop, every kiss...all we have is today.. we need to appreciate every moment.. aloha..;-)
