the soundtrack to my heart breaking

by Lisa-Dawn Sparling

I sit hear and stare at the computer

listening to the CD that you made with your own hands and your own heart,

I have a note you wrote in your journal about downloading music and crying ~

I can feel that dad I really can.

I hold the CD in my hand - it still has your energy to it

I am listening to Secret garden by bruce springsteen and my soul is bleeding for you.

I never saw you cry once when you were sick dad

YOU have no idea how strong you were.

The song that makes me cry the most is John Denvers Sunshine on my shoulder...

you loved life dad..... and god dad did life ever love you.....did WE ever love you.

I know I'll be ok ~ but today dad ~ I don't feel ok.

Thank you for sharing the music that you felt in your soul ...

It makes me feel so close to you.

I can almost hear your voice.....almost.
