Gee Oh Dee by Aaron BlairGod is the crumpled napkin
in the middle of the table,
the spilled salt spread across the surface,
the crystallized remnants of some biblical sea.
I could write a gospel on that piece of dirty paper,
gather those errant grains into a mandala,
provide this formica altar with a meaning of its own.
Instead, I toss it all over my shoulder,
give it my back, at once affirming and disavowing
everything it means to believe. 01/05/2007 Author's Note: You down with gee oh dee?
