dylan

by Lisa-Dawn Sparling

I know your heart is breaking without grandpa,

you woke up last night crying and wrapped your arms around me.

You told me that you missed him and that you loved me.

I am so glad you are in touch with your emotions even though you hide them from most people.

You said you missed him tieing flies with you,

but at least he taught you how and you can carry on the tradition.

I know you'll miss him at your soccer games but you don't know how lucky you are,

when I was young grandpa was too busy working to do those things.

He adored you Dylan, don't worry, he'll always be with you.
