You Are My Girl (a lullabye)

by Genevieve Sturrock

you are my girl
i brought into this world
and you mean more to me
than you will ever know

you are my baby
and you may think i'm crazy
but you're the prettiest baby
in the world

with blue eyes, red hair
you're the answer
to all my prayers
God has blessed me
with a little girl

may you grow up
healthy and strong
able to get along
pretty and smart
with a kind and loving heart

may you always be true
to those who care for you
and know in your soul
that you are never alone

for you are my girl
i brought into this world
and you mean to more to me
than you will ever know

Yep, I can relate to that love and unending wish for our childrens happiness

This is very lovely. I remember feeling the same way, and even though my girls are grown, I still think of them as my babies.
