She posed such questions

To which I did not hold

Any answers. I pondered

What to say, or how to say it.

All the pretty books were lined

Up on the shelves of my life.

Each one alphabetical by author

In such an order, with other books on top.

I like it like that,

Especially when I am asked questions

To which I know the answers

To the other questions in the future.

She asked more innane questions

To which I had more answers

Different responses, ponderings

Which she had never supposed

Or even imagined. Such questions!
