When Time Stood Still

they met in a place and time stood still
a magnificent place in the mind,
he filled her soul with laughter and love
together they soared
oblivious,
to parts unknown
magic to her soul was he ...
a dream come true
but like all dreams
one wakes up
eventually,
or so it seems ...
the connection was unmistakable
a perfect combination
these two,
friends shook their disbelieving heads
but when they were together
time flew ...
dream busters appeared on the scene
jealously and those with secret agendas,
closer they crept
with their doubt beating chests
'Don't believe her'
'Don't listen'
'No one who could love you like that'
but he didn't listen
not to those with dark wishes
he could see straight through them
and laughed ...
they met in a place and time stood still

Beautiful.S5,L3 "he could see straight them" is the only nit I see. I couldn't make it work... did I miss something? My child hood best friend told me when she met my soul mate and spent time with us together that the electricity was "like some weird bug zapper snapping with tension", lol. I like your description for it much better. Great job! |
