She wanted to break me
so that I'd love her more,
waves crash in the ocean
as the years drift by
She'd love to hate me
more than she loathes herself,
waves crash in the ocean
as the stars fly by
She's trying to blame me
for her lack of self respect,
waves crash in the ocean
as the moon screams by
and down
and closer
to ground
