Cover to cover

by Robin Patterson

My legs tremble
beneath the warmth
of your
indiscreet
kisses,
as your
mouth blankets
my wetness
completely

And it's no wonder
we've met here
the two of us
on the same page
with hearts and souls
yearning for more
than this life
has been willing
to give

My hips rise
and crest toward
the eager precision
of your touch
consuming my
naked flesh
And closer to the
edge you carry me
never having to
read between
lines

And it's no wonder
we've met here
the two of us
on the same page
consumed and seduced
by a passion
so empty and void
in the lives
we are living

Your strong arms
secure me in a
foreign embrace
yet I'm safe to
release as you
ravish my form
and I never once
look away
And I tumble
in ecstasy
while you catch
my fall as if
you've read me
like your
favorite book

And it's no wonder
we've met here
the two of us
on the same page
lost and searching
for love
to complete us
only to
find it's a
fairytale
life
