Merry Mischief and Mayhem

by A. Paige White

"Ok, let's put this together"

oh no.

It is time to get these stir crazy children out of this house. The assembly of the latest missile must be halted at once. Before I get an apologetic visit from some local authority,

"umm ma'am, we understand that radar has detected the launch of several rockets from your property..."

They must be saved from themselves.

It's always raining in New Orleans. It's raining there now. We just may have to go for a swim. There are novel gift ideas to be found in the Quarter. Not the least of which is the distraction from artillery assembly. Mayhem in raw form lying about... ... and a darn good reason I haven't unloaded my dirty Santa loot (I prevailed in three thefts-I stole it first from my boss {his look of relief was comic}- Dutch's wife put him up to stealing it from me- then I stole it back) from the trunk of my car. I can only imagine what they would do with my new block of kitchen knives, set up some kind of target practice for throwing to determine their throwing balance...

Author's Note:
"I just passed our usual Elysian Fields exit" he says. It's drizzling. That's just mean. He's there and I'm stuck up here. Mean. Mean, I tell you. That's ok, I'm going to rally the troops. They've all been wanting a trip to New Oleans anyway.

too late. He's back out in the street with his launcher.
Soldier, you're freaking me out!
