a kiss unwise

by Peter Humphreys

in the night time mirror
of reflecting glass
I idly watch
as stations pass
along the line
to Bonn
and
in the mirror
of mine eye
I watch her face
full lined
with beauty
still to spare
in full grey
flowing hair
her hands
lap crossed
articulate
cultured
fingers
yet feet in
plastic bags
what brought her
thus to this
a moment or
an unwise kiss

Very well done from my perspective. I see all of life as a series of encounters between people even when they seem to be one-sided. This one obviously touched you as will most if we let them. We should all allow ourselves to open to experience these encounters and see what we have seen.

Well done, mystic traveler.
