after dinner mint

by Bethany Lee

after dinner mint,
strangely close to sin.
After supper slow-suicide.
Self-abandonment wins.
“I want it so bad”: I cried.
Choice of Self-control begins.

Smoke clouding eyes:

The line of love/hate is paper-thin.

Not sure I agree that a mint is tantamount to suicide, but I like the idea of it being sinful. Nice work!
