Within my deepest heart I am alone

There is no love, no reason, no pulse

Of a heartbeat or of any life.

Any love that I have had has now flown,

As in my deepest heart I remain alone.

Somewhere a fire burns with irreverent light

Underneath a deep sea of emotions.

This love I once had is forever gone.

My naked life, naive pride,

Any held truths are covered

In the abyss that has become my heart.

All that was once love for me

Has gone beyond any supposed reality.
