Sisyphus by Joe CramerSisyphus climbs to the top of the hill
Pushing his rock all the while.
Upon his arrival the rock turns
Rolls over and goes back downhill.
This Greek allusion of life, death
And punishment for the misdeeds
Of the son of Aeolus is a metaphor
For the labour of my life,
In Sisyphean proportions. 12/20/2006 Posted on 12/20/2006 Copyright © 2025 Joe Cramer
