Sisyphus

by Joe Cramer

Sisyphus climbs to the top of the hill

Pushing his rock all the while.

Upon his arrival the rock turns

Rolls over and goes back downhill.

This Greek allusion of life, death

And punishment for the misdeeds

Of the son of Aeolus is a metaphor

For the labour of my life,

In Sisyphean proportions.
