Walking

by Joe Cramer

You walk in and out of my life daily

Without word or regard to me

Or to my heart felt sensibilities.

I watch the way you saunter

Back and forth, to and fro,

Arrayed in softly scented azure excellence

Without a care as your life passes me by.

I would stop you for just moment

If just to say hello, and that I care

For you, a word or two just to say

That you mean all the world to me.

When will you walk back into my life to stay,

What will you speak to me upon that day?

Will you remain with me this time,

And will I ever call you mine?
